Please make sure to come out and support the 2010 CTK summer social! The dates are Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19. Dinner will be available both evenings in the school cafeteria with opportunities to bid on silent auction items and gift baskets.  As usual there will be fried chicken, catfish filets and smoked pork chops by the “Walking Chickens” and other side items provided by the wonderful CTK cooks. There will also be blow ups for the kids in the air conditioned gym and a new “Book Nook” for kids of all ages.
The summer social is the primary fundraiser at Christ the King with most of the income coming from the cash and quilt raffle. So even if you are unable to attend please make sure you turn in your raffle tickets as soon as possible. Remember, you can’t win if you don’t play.
If you are available to work and have not been contacted, please contact the parish office. While attending is fun, working behind the scenes has certain advantages like meeting your fellow parishioners and getting some of the deep fried treats provided by the “Walking Chickens.”
As a final note, we should be very proud of once again reaching the Catholic Parishes Campaign goal of $92,666. It appears we will be one of a few parishes to accomplish this.
