What's New in the CTK Library?

In 2008, Christ the King's PTO purchased library software that utilizes a barcode system. Thousands of books have been entered into the system and have been assigned their own unique barcode. Once all the books were added to the system, students were issued library cards. The new system has made finding and checking out books much easier! Books are checked out and returned by scanning barcodes, just like any public library.
In addition, more library shelves were purchased to organize and accommodate an ever expanding inventory. Items in our library can be searched by title, subject, author, reading level, illustrator, publisher, etc.
CTK owns many Newbery, Caldecott and Coretta Scott King award-winning books. Accelerated Reading levels have been updated and are marked on all books that qualify.
CTK has a range of 0.4 reading level to 13.0 reading level available. As of December 2009, over 7650 books and magazines have been inventoried. CTK's volunteer staffed library is open to students and teachers during school hours, M-F 7:30 am - 2:30 pm. Questions regarding the library may be emailed to Michelle Weisman, Library Chair - hares@wowway.com.
* Because we continue to add new books to our collection - new additions may not be reflected in this listing.
